Colorado’s Gun Storage and Cage-Free Eggs

Over in Colorado, a new law requires anyone leaving a handgun in an unattended vehicle to lock it in a hard-sided container, hidden from plain sight. Beginning in July, concealed-carry applicants must complete an eight-hour training course.

But Colorado isn’t just about firearms. All eggs sold in the state must now come from cage-free facilities, a move driven by animal welfare groups demanding more humane conditions for hens.

New Hampshire’s Second Amendment Emphasis

Unlike California, the Granite State has taken a different approach by strengthening Second Amendment rights. Starting January 1, New Hampshire outlaws the use of certain merchant category codes that monitor gun purchases, a measure supported by the NRA. The state will also enforce tighter bail reform policies, holding specific criminal suspects in custody for longer periods.
