A two-year-old incident at a Las Vegas nightclub has erupted into a federal lawsuit, as an Ohio woman claims Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B crossed the line from performer to aggressor when she hurled a microphone into the crowd during a heated July 2023 concert.

The 16-page complaint, filed Monday in Clark County, Nevada, paints a picture of a sweltering summer evening that turned from interactive entertainment into alleged assault when what began as audience participation spiraled into what the plaintiff describes as a “forceful” and unprovoked attack.
