Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP has brought on veteran venture capital and technology companies adviser Adam Freiman as a partner in its New York office, marking the firm’s seventh lateral partner addition to its technology companies group this year.
Freiman joins from WilmerHale, where he spent more than seven years advising high-growth companies and investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Thrive Capital, and FJ Labs. Over his 27-year BigLaw career, he has also held partner roles at King & Spalding and Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, after starting out as an associate at Shearman & Sterling in 1998.
At Orrick, Freiman will focus on venture and growth equity financings, M&A, joint ventures, and corporate governance. His practice spans companies in artificial intelligence, biotech, fintech, healthtech, blockchain, e-commerce, and life sciences. He noted that Orrick’s strong platform and track record in the tech and biotech sectors drew him to the firm.
