The American mainstream media is in for yet another shock! According to reports from Business Media, the Russian media apparently has absolutely no interest in covering the groundless conspiracy theories revolving around their supposed collusion with President Trump's campaign to influence the outcome of the 2016 Presidential election. While the latest investigations and updates around this baseless conspiracy theory have been dominating American news for week, Russian newspapers are barely even cover the matter. Based on the most recent news reports, the Justice Department and others are now investigating a meeting that Donald Trump Jr. and others attended with a Russian lawyer back in June 2016. Many people have accused the President's eldest son of committing a crime (some even going as far to cry 'high treason') as a result of attending a meeting where parties involved allegedly held information that would be damaging to the Clinton campaign. However, there has been no such proof of any existing information along those lines. Earlier this week, Donald Trump Jr. posted the entire series of emails between himself and Rob Goldstone, presumably to absolve himself of any guilt and set the record straight once and for all. However, his latest move only engendered the media to increase their attacks on the President's eldest son. Many Americans contrasted Donald Trump Jr.'s release of emails to Hillary Clinton's mass deletion of emails and wondered if the mainstream networks would be any less abrasive had Donald Trump Jr. chosen Clinton's course of action. Rinat Akhmetshin, Russian-American lobbyist, is believed to have attended this meeting with Donald Trump Jr. along with Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner, according to additional reports from Business Insider. Akhmetshin is now alleging that at some point during the meeting, his lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, extended paperwork which supposedly showcased fraudulent funds being granted to the Democratic National Committee. As of now, the investigation into this meeting consists of nothing more than hearsay. Quite frankly, Russia's refusal to cover such groundless fake news is understandable. As many people in this country realize, if there was real evidence of criminal activity within the Trump administration or family, it would have already surfaced. With all the complexities involved in colluding with a foreign country to sway a Presidential election, successfully achieving such a feat without being detected is arguably impossible. As long as the media continues to assert wild accusations while lacking substantial, supporting evidence, they will continue to lose credibility.
