The family insists this was a murder.
“This is senseless, and I want some answers because my daughter is gone,” Sharon Coats, Nikki’s mother, said emotionally. “And it’s not fair. I want everybody to find out who did this to her. She shouldn’t be gone.”
Serial killer is suspected
Maleesa Mooney, a 31-year-old aspiring model’s lifeless body was discovered inside her Skye at Bunker Hill apartment in Downtown Los Angeles, just before 4 pm on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles police have initiated a full-fledged murder investigation into her death. Mooney was not only an aspiring model but also worked as a real estate agent at Nest Seekers, a well-known agency based in Beverly Hills.
Mooney abruptly stopped responding to her family’s calls and texts.
Bailey Babb, Mooney’s cousin, expressed their mounting concern, saying, “When a week went by, we just knew something was off. Her messages weren’t delivering, and we knew something was up because we all have a special relationship with Maleesa.”
