The nation braces itself as it prepares to experience the hottest week of the summer. A heatwave that has already been scorching parts of the South and West will broaden its grip, reaching the East Coast. This sweeping thermal onslaught will result in more than 250 million people experiencing above-average temperatures from coast-to-coast.

The Hottest Week: An Unsettling Climatic Shift

Based on the data gathered by the FOX Forecast Center, this sweltering period surpasses the previous two months, making it the hottest week of the summer season. A significant three-quarters of the nation will endure above-average temperatures due to an ominous upper air pattern shift, which will propel the East Coast into perilous heat and humidity later in the week.

The Peak of the Heatwave

Wednesday is set to be the zenith of the hottest week, with approximately 255 million Americans anticipating temperatures above the average. Around 232 million of these individuals (75%) will experience a spike in temperatures, with highs at least 5 degrees above average.
