Severe storms and tornadoes caused damage in Nebraska and across the Midwest putting roughly 20 million people at risk, the National Weather Service said roughly 20 million people were at risk in the storm's path.

A tornado hit in suburban Omaha Friday afternoon the twister demolished demolishing homes for miles along farmland and into subdivisions. So far, no one has been reported injured or killed in the storm. 

Tornado Watch

Tornadoes were spotted in three areas south of Dallas-Fort Worth, in Navarro and McLennan counties. The weather service has preliminary confirmation through videos of tornado activity. But there is no evidence that the storms touched down in Texas.

Over 75 tornado reports were issued Friday, mostly in Nebraska and Iowa.

Saturday: Storm Warning

The region is braced for the onslaught of another day of stormy weather. “A complex but potentially significant severe weather episode is expected on Saturday,” the prediction center meteorologists cautioned.

The atmospheric conditions remain precarious with the strength of the storms contingent upon the evolution of Friday night's atmospheric conditions.

On Saturday, the potential for widespread storms loom large. Meteorologists warn that there is still a potential for multiple strong tornadoes and widespread damaging winds. From the southern and central Plains to the Great Lakes and southern Texas, severe thunderstorms are possible.

The Sunday Forecast 

As the weekend unfolds severe weather alerts continue from Texas to Wisconsin. The threat of damaging storms persisted, with meteorologists closely monitoring the evolving situation and issuing timely warnings to residents.

Some storms are expected on Sunday night.

Heavy flooding is possible, especially in the Lower Mississippi Valley.

The severe weather threat is expected to continue through the weekend, in Dallas, Kansas City, Des Moines, and Omaha.

By Monday, severe weather is forecast to become much more isolated. Any developing storms would be confined to the Gulf Coast.
