Fahad Azima Dechert Case

In the latest turn of events, the courtroom echoed Judge Michael Green’s pronouncement: Farhad Azima’s efforts to overturn a judgment of fraud against him would have to wait. The aviation magnate’s claims could possibly interfere with Dechert LLP’s defense against explosive allegations of a hacking conspiracy led by a former partner.

Tangled Web of Claims and Counterclaims

Deep in the heart of this legal maze lies the Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (RAKIA) of the UAE, a sovereign fund entangled with Azima. Judge Green shed light on the matter, declaring that Azima’s fraud findings are closely knit with the claims against Dechert and its former white-collar crime lead, Neil Gerrard. The two narratives are intertwined like serpents in an epic battle, each trying to strike the other down.

Azima, not one to retreat, had earlier secured a chance to challenge a High Court ruling which found him guilty of defrauding RAKIA. The saga thickened when the Court of Appeal hinted at a possibility of deceit on RAKIA’s end and its witnesses.
