NARA Documents: White House Invokes ‘Executive Privilege’ to Shield Biden Family’s Controversial Past

The White House faces mounting scrutiny as it invokes 'executive privilege' to block the release of approximately 200 documents stored in the National Archives (NARA). The documents are related to Hunter Biden's business interactions during the Obama administration.

These documents have come under intense public and legal scrutiny amid allegations of a controversial business scheme involving the President's son, Hunter Biden.

Amidst mounting pressure from multiple quarters, including the watchdog organization America First Legal (AFL), which filed a lawsuit to access these NARA records, the White House has clamped down on the release of documents that could shed light on Hunter Biden's business activities and their implications on the Biden family's political legacy.

Executive privilege umbrella

The documents track an investigation into Hunter Biden's Business Dealings while Joe Biden was the Vice-President. And there are details recently unearthed in the National Archive Records.

The documents in question span from January 2011 to December 2013 and pertain to Hunter Biden's involvement with "Rosemont Seneca," his business venture during his father's tenure as Vice President of the United States.

While the NARA did release 861 records that didn't fall under the 'executive privilege' umbrella, the remainder remains locked away.

In a statement, NARA defended its decision, stating that the withheld records contain "confidential advice" exchanged between then-Vice President Joe Biden and his White House advisors.

The claim of 'executive privilege' is based on the notion that these documents would reveal sensitive discussions and confidential counsel provided to the President.

Intrigue and aliases

Joe Biden, during his time as Vice President, used a series of aliases in his communication. These aliases, including "Robert Peters," "Robin Ware," and "JRB Ware," raise further questions about transparency and accountability.

AFL's request for access to these emails has broader implications as it delves into Hunter Biden's earliest business dealings with Rosemont Seneca Partners. This entity is intricately linked to individuals like Devon Archer, Eric Schwerin, CCP-affiliated entities, and Che Feng, referred to by Hunter Biden as the "Super Chairman."

Hunter Biden's connection with the "Super Chairman" culminated in the formation of BHR Partners, a joint venture, in which his company, Skaneateles LLC, held a ten percent equity stake. What makes this venture even more controversial is its co-ownership by the state-controlled Bank of China, along with substantial global capital investments.

Gene Hamilton, America First Legal Vice President and General Counsel, said, “These records provide even more evidence that no daylight existed between Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings and the Office of the Vice President during the Obama Administration.”

“The evidence accumulating against the Biden family’s malfeasance is staggering,” he added.

BHR Partners

A report by Breitbart News from April further stoked controversy when it revealed that Hunter Biden transferred his stake in BHR Partners to his lawyer, Kevin Morris, in 2017. A similar maneuver was executed by Devon Archer, who transferred his stake in BHR Partners to his wife.

The AFL's recent release of emails has thrown a spotlight on Hunter Biden's involvement in the planning of a state dinner for Chinese officials at the White House in 2011, a mere few months before embarking on a trip to China to establish connections for launching BHR Partners.

Additionally, these emails disclose a pattern of direct communication between Hunter Biden and his business associates and then-Vice President Joe Biden's office.

The communications included access to information regarding White House guest lists, seating arrangements, and official events, such as the 2013 Turkey State Luncheon, the 2014 France State Dinner, and the 2012 United Kingdom State Dinner.

As the legal battle continues over the release of these NARA documents, questions persist about the Biden family's involvement in these business activities and their potential impact on the highest echelons of the American government.

The claim of 'executive privilege' raises concerns about transparency and accountability in the highest office, making this a story that will undoubtedly continue to captivate the nation's attention.
