The two new appointees are Yinon Weiss, CEO of a tech-sector automotive care company and a U.S. Army Special Forces veteran, and April Aguirre, a nurse, crime victims’ advocate, and U.S. Air Force veteran from Pasadena, Texas.
Weiss, based in Austin, has been appointed to a term ending Nov. 19, 2025, while Aguirre will serve a term through Nov. 19, 2029.
Weiss holds degrees from Harvard Business School and the University of California, Berkeley, and has a distinguished military career, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army Reserves, and Special Forces. He has earned decorations such as the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the Bronze Star. Weiss is also known for his political commentary.
