ABI Names Christopher Ward President, Elects New Directors: Expanding Horizons
Under Ward’s leadership, the ABI is set to embark on an ambitious journey to rejuvenate its membership. The focus will be on attracting a younger, more diverse cohort to its ranks. “ABI’s membership is aging, and we need to focus on bringing in new members, younger members and more diverse members,” Ward elaborated on his vision for the organization.

Christopher Ward, a stalwart ABI member since 2003, completed his undergraduate studies at Moravian College and went on to earn a juris doctor degree from Widener University School of Law in 1999. His professional journey includes significant roles, such as managing shareholder at Polsinelli’s Delaware office, which have equipped him with the expertise to lead ABI effectively.
New Faces in Leadership Roles
In addition to presidential changes, the ABI announced new appointments within its executive ranks. Jennifer McLemore of Williams Mullen steps in as vice president of communications and information technology, succeeding Judge Harwood. Meanwhile, Ericka Johnson of Bayard will join as an at-large member of the executive committee.
