Breezy sued Chris Brown

Miami-based swimsuit company Breezy Swimwear Inc. has taken legal aim at superstar Chris Brown, accusing him and his tour partners of trademark infringement and unfair competition in a dispute over the branding of his upcoming “Breezy Bowl XX” world tour.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday, names Brown, Live Nation Entertainment Inc., Merch Traffic LLC, and Shopify Inc. as defendants. Breezy Swimwear claims the tour’s marketing and merchandise echo its own “Breezy Bowl” brand, potentially misleading consumers and damaging the company’s reputation.

The Origins of “Breezy Bowl”

Founded as a self-described “women-empowerment label”, Breezy Swimwear sells its products globally and launched its Breezy Bowl runway show in 2023. The inclusive event welcomed models “of every shape, size, age, and experience level,” gaining national media coverage and amassing millions of social media followers.

But in 2024, Brown — who is commonly known by the nickname “Breezy” — announced his Breezy Bowl XX world tour, slated to kick off July 30, 2025, in Miami. Tour merchandise, including bikinis branded “Team Breezy,” went on sale via Shopify and Merch Traffic, the complaint notes.
