CNN has seen some major shakeups in recent years. The arrival of CEO Chris Licht, for example, led to several switch-ups in the company, along with certain anchors getting pink slips.
Licht came on board after the company struggled with a series of scandals and declining ratings. Several of these scandals dealt with the conduct of individuals employed by CNN.
One of those individuals is Chris Cuomo, the current host of News Nation and younger brother of former NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
The younger Cuomo found himself sacked from CNN after using his connections in the press to help his brother dig into women making accusations of sexual impropriety against him.
Now, over a year later, Chris Cuomo is sharing how he dealt with the aftermath of his firing.
Cuomo spills the beans
On a podcast run by Anthony Scaramucci, a former press secretary of the White House, Cuomo didn’t hold back at all.
The former CNN news anchor said after losing his job, he struggled to truly accept and come to terms with it. Cuomo also noted that he wrestled with the “passionate” nature tied to his Italian heritage.
