Nguyen, who earned his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, started his legal career at Fish & Richardson and spent a decade there before his hiatus. He returns as a principal, the same role he held when he left.
“There’s nowhere else in the world like Fish,” Nguyen said. “The deep technical knowledge, the generous spirit of collaboration, and the eagerness to take on challenging cases is second to none. I’m thrilled to return to Fish with a renewed sense of energy.”
His practice focuses on patent litigation, particularly in the areas of computer hardware and semiconductor processing. He regularly appears before the U.S. International Trade Commission, federal district courts, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Nguyen holds a bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and previously worked as an engineer at Samsung before attending law school.
Corrin Drakulich, head of global litigation at Fish & Richardson, expressed enthusiasm about Nguyen’s return. “Tony is a talented litigator and a wonderful colleague,” Drakulich said in a statement. “He’s a homegrown Fish attorney with a first-hand understanding of our cooperative style of work and solutions-oriented approach to client service. We’re excited to welcome him back to the firm.”
