While robot dogs like Sony’s Aibo have existed for decades, Hengbot emphasizes Sirius’s speed, agility, and expressive personality. The robot features 14 axes of motion in its legs and head, along with proprietary “Neurocore” joints that enable it to perform tasks such as dancing to piano music, shaking hands, and even playing soccer—demonstrated in promotional videos. Sirius’s movement is best suited for flat, indoor surfaces. Hengbot advises against outdoor use or rough terrain. The battery lasts 40–60 minutes in motion and one to two hours when idle, with a recharge time of about an hour.AI Personality and Customization
Hengbot’s standout feature is the OpenAI-powered personality engine, which uses network connectivity and voice command processing to teach the dog tricks, interpret commands like “sit” or “act like a cat,” and even develop custom personalities. “You can customize Sirius to behave like a Corgi, add facial reactions, or upload different voice packs,” Hengbot explains. A "game-like" editor allows users to build their dog’s behavior and expressions interactively. Although interactive and fun, Hengbot emphasizes that Sirius is designed for adults—especially those interested in exploring its creative AI capabilities.
