Investigations: Homeland Security Raids Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Properties Amidst Allegations of Trafficking

Federal Authorities

On Monday, Homeland Security Agents conducted raids on properties owned by Sean "Diddy" Combs, 54, in Miami and Los Angeles, as part of an ongoing investigation.

Reports suggest that authorities seized Combs' and his employees' phones, a number of videos and other evidence during the federal probe into the music mogul's affairs.

The allegations and subsequent federal investigation have thrust Combs into the spotlight.

In response to the mounting legal challenges, he stepped down from his position at Revolt, a media network he chaired, and a planned reality series featuring his family was pulled from Hulu.

The scrutiny surrounding Combs was heightened following accusations made by his former partner, Cassie Ventura.

Ventura was a teenager and Combs was 37 when she alleges her “sexual grooming” began.

The singer, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, had accused Combs, the Bad Boy music mogul of subjecting her to years of abuse during their relationship in a complaint filed in federal District Court in Manhattan.

Combs had denied the allegations through his attorney.

Ventura alleged in her lawsuit that while she was dating the "Day 'n' Nite" rapper in 2012, Diddy said he would blow up Cudi's car. According to the lawsuit, the car "exploded in his driveway" around that time.

A spokesman for Cudi confirmed the story saying, "This is all true."

The allegations culminated in Ventura filing a lawsuit against Combs, accusing him of rape and sex trafficking. Combs settled the lawsuit swiftly, aiming to keep the matter out of the courtroom.

Multiple Lawsuits

Ventura's lawsuit, filed under the New York Adult Survivors Act, triggered a series of similar allegations from other women against Combs.

Three additional women have since come forward with lawsuits alleging sexual assault, two of whom claim they were teenagers at the time of the incidents.

Douglas Wigdor, representing Ventura and another accuser, expressed hope that the federal investigation marks the beginning of holding Combs accountable for his alleged misconduct.

He emphasized the importance of supporting law enforcement in prosecuting those who violate the law.

Combs vehemently denies all allegations of sexual assault, dismissing them as "sickening."

However, a former employee, Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones, filed a lawsuit accusing Combs of sexual harassment, drugging, and threats. Jones claimed to possess video and audio evidence of illegal activities involving Combs and his associates.

Combs' legal history is checkered. In 1999, he pleaded guilty to assaulting a record executive and faced charges related to a shooting incident at a New York nightclub.

Although acquitted of weapons charges, Combs' association with the event, where rapper Shyne was convicted of firing into the crowd, tainted his reputation.
