Thompson, who has been terminated from his position at American Airlines, pleaded not guilty to several charges of attempted sexual exploitation of children and possession of child sexual abuse images this week.

He was arrested in Lynchburg, Virginia

The girl’s family filed a lawsuit against American Airlines in a state court in Austin, Texas, after the FBI informed them that videos of their daughter had been found on Thompson’s phone.

Paul Llewellyn, the family’s attorney, expressed hope that the new legal representation would lead American Airlines to take a more responsible stance regarding the incident. “With the benefit of this new legal representation, we hope that American Airlines will now take a fresh look at the case and finally take some measure of responsibility for what happened to our client,” Llewellyn stated.

Flight Attendant Made Multiple Recordings

Llewellyn is also representing another family in a federal court case in North Carolina involving a 14-year-old girl who discovered a similar recording device on an American Airlines flight. This teen alerted her parents after noticing the phone taped to the back of the toilet seat, leading to Thompson’s arrest.
