A Shared Vision for Innovation and Expansion

Brian Nelson, partner and portfolio manager at Long Path, hailed the acquisition as a “transformative partnership.”

“Idox has shown an exceptional ability to deliver mission-critical digital solutions to governments and commercial organizations across the globe,” Nelson said. “We believe the company’s current public structure limits its long-term growth — this acquisition opens the door to faster innovation, stronger customer experiences, and a sharper competitive edge.”

Idox, headquartered in Surrey, England, specializes in information management software for public and regulated sectors. Its offerings range from voter registration systems and election logistics platforms to software that manages public funding and social care initiatives.

Strategic Investment and Operational Shifts

Following the acquisition, Long Path plans to inject an additional £5 million into Idox, focusing on product innovation, customer experience, and operational efficiency. The Stamford, Connecticut-based investor will also reassess Idox’s product portfolio and internal structure, with an anticipated 5% reduction in workforce as part of optimization efforts.

The firm may also streamline listing-related expenses once Idox transitions to a private entity, positioning it for more agile decision-making and long-term value creation.

Long Path declined to provide further comment on the potential operational restructuring.
