Bedbugs are a grave health hazard that should be taken seriously. These critters can not only infect furniture and other objects, but they also bite humans.
Some people are allergic to bedbugs, which can cause severe negative reactions upon getting bitten. Worst case scenario, bedbug bites may engender anaphylaxis or a litany of skin infections.
In spite of all this, various communities around the world still face their own issues with infestations. Just last October, the world learned of Paris, France struggling with a bedbug epidemic. The situation spiraled so far out of control that folks traveling on buses or trains in the City of Love abstained from sitting down in these spaces.
Now, recent developments reveal that several cities across Michigan have bedbug problems to contend with.
What’s going on?
Detriot, Flint, Grand Rapids, and Cedar Rapids top the list of local Michigan communities requiring assistance with bedbugs in both commercial and residential places.
People renting hotels, using public transportation, or otherwise spending time in these communities should be cautious and ensure they don’t take anything home with them. When you’re traveling, be sure to sleep with your suitcase or luggage away from the bed.
