The FBI has identified 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar as the suspect in the New Orleans terrorist attack that claimed 10 lives and injured 35 others on New Year’s Eve.

 The tragedy unfolded when Jabbar drove a rented Ford pickup truck into crowded streets, turning the festive evening into chaos.

The FBI has classified the incident as “an act of terrorism.”

 Investigators revealed that an ISIS flag was found inside the vehicle. “An ISIS flag was located in the vehicle, and the FBI is working to determine the subject’s potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations,” the agency stated.

Attack Details and Aftermath

After crashing through barricades and wounding two police officers from his vehicle, Jabbar exited the truck and opened fire on law enforcement. Police returned fire, killing the suspect.

Video footage captured horrifying scenes, including bodies lying in the street as bystanders and military personnel rushed to assist.
