In the aftermath of 2024’s first general election debate, Americans were overwhelmingly displeased. On Thursday night, people took to social media with posts expressing their shock, disappointment, and outrage with the first Trump vs. Biden showdown of this election.
The president’s debate performance was uniformly condemned. Even some of his closest allies within the Democratic Party expressed dismay. Multiple news publication and left-wing strategists have since suggested that Biden should suspend his campaign.
During a rally on Friday, the president acknowledged he didn’t have the best night while debating Trump. However, a new survey shows Biden could face even bigger problems as he works on convincing Americans to re-elect him.
