Noble Fish Sues Hacker Who Deleted Instagram

Noble Fish sushi restaurant in Clawson, MI filed a federal lawsuit against the person who hacked and deleted their Instagram account. The Clawson, Michigan favorite argues that the disappearance of their 9,000 Muslim Instagram followers inflicted a financial hit on its reputation.

Noble Fish Sues Hacker Who Deleted Instagram : Loss of Key Marketing Channel

The 1980s-era community fish market Noble Fish primarily used Instagram to raise awareness and share product images with its customer base. The lawsuit alleges that the loss of this platform cost the restaurant 15.7% of its sales, because it lost immediate direst access to thousands of others clients and potential ones after mid-July forged ahead with deleting accounts at some un-specified date in early May adjudicating events as #removalgate. It would be difficult to rebuild this audience even if the restaurant were willing, given how long it had taken them to build that following.

The account had been in use for more than five years at the time of the incident, and Noble Fish contends its financial damages continue from an interruption to marketing that was underway.
