Sunday night bore witness to a tragic event in Omaha as one individual lost their life while another suffered critical injuries following a shooting at an apartment complex in southwest Omaha.
The Omaha Police Department was dispatched to Citadel Apartments, situated just north of 86th and Q Streets, at approximately 8:45 p.m. after reports of gunfire emerged, a spokesperson confirmed.
Victims Found in Vehicle, Critical Condition
On reaching the location, the police discovered two victims with gunshot injuries inside a vehicle. One victim was declared deceased at the scene, a stark indication of the severity of the Omaha shooting incident. The second victim, found in a critical condition, was immediately transported to the Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy via ambulance. Details regarding the identities of the victims have yet to be disclosed by the police.
