Sam Altman’s OpenAI is reportedly plotting an initial public offering valued at up to $1 trillion, a move that could redefine the AI landscape and Wall Street’s perception of tech powerhouses. According to a Reuters report, the IPO—slated for as soon as the second half of 2026—would be one of the largest in history.

The company, the brain behind ChatGPT, is said to be targeting at least $60 billion in proceeds. Backed by an army of global investors—SoftBank, Thrive Capital, Abu Dhabi’s MGX, and Microsoft, which holds roughly 27% of OpenAI—the San Francisco-based firm is seeking to turn its dominance in generative AI into the most valuable IPO since Amazon’s ascent.

If successful, the OpenAI $1T IPO would mark a new epoch, signaling the transformation of artificial intelligence from experimental technology to trillion-dollar infrastructure.

Meta, Oracle, and Wall Street Power a New AI Infrastructure Boom

As OpenAI sets its sights sky-high, Meta Platforms Inc.—parent company of Facebook and Instagram—is also fueling the AI race with a $25 billion bond offering. According to Bloomberg, the six-part sale will fund AI and massive data center projects, with Citigroup and Morgan Stanley leading the charge.

Meta said it anticipates “notably larger” expenses in 2026, underscoring CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s push to dominate AI-driven social and immersive technologies.

Meanwhile, Oracle Corp. is set to benefit from a $38 billion debt deal, with JPMorgan Chase and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group orchestrating the financing. The plan includes two secured credit facilities—$23.25 billion for a Texas data center and $14.75 billion for one in Wisconsin—both spearheaded by Vantage Data Centers to support Oracle’s infrastructure, reportedly powering OpenAI’s systems.

If completed, this would be the largest AI infrastructure financing in market history, symbolizing how deeply Wall Street is investing in the next generation of machine intelligence.

Mastercard Bets Big on Crypto

In a parallel move, Mastercard is preparing to acquire cryptocurrency startup Zerohash for up to $2 billion, according to Fortune. The deal, still in advanced negotiations, would mark one of Mastercard’s largest entries into the stablecoin and blockchain sector.

Zerohash—valued at over $1 billion after a recent funding round—builds infrastructure for digital payments and tokenized finance. The acquisition would cement Mastercard’s position at the intersection of fintech and blockchain innovation, joining partnerships with Crypto.com, OKX, and Kraken.
