Perkins Coie LLP has expanded its estate planning and private client services capabilities by bringing on Sarah Bowman as a partner in its Seattle office. Bowman joins the firm from K&L Gates LLP, where she held dual leadership roles as co-practice group coordinator for the global tax team and head of the firm’s family office industry group.

At Perkins Coie, Bowman will focus on comprehensive estate and trust planning services for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. Her practice spans estate administration, family office design, multigenerational wealth planning, tax strategies, privacy structuring, and philanthropy. The firm noted her seasoned experience guiding beneficiaries, trustees, entrepreneurs, and fiduciaries through intricate planning and succession matters.

“I’m thrilled to join a forward-thinking, collaborative environment like Perkins Coie,” Bowman said. “The firm’s national reputation for premier service and strategic guidance in the family office and high-net-worth space aligns perfectly with my approach. I’m eager to help clients safeguard their legacies with thoughtful, tailored solutions.”

Bowman also provides counsel on probate, trust administration, and litigation support in complex estate disputes. Her work is particularly distinguished by her deep involvement in designing family office frameworks that reflect each client’s financial, operational, and legacy objectives.

Scott Wallace, who leads Perkins Coie’s private client services group, praised the hire. “Sarah brings tremendous depth in estate and tax planning, and clients value her insight, empathy, and problem-solving acumen,” he said. “She enhances our ability to deliver sophisticated, responsive solutions that evolve with our clients’ goals.”

Bowman’s legal career spans over a decade at K&L Gates. She earned her JD from Seattle University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. Her addition reflects Perkins Coie’s continued investment in strengthening its personal wealth and family enterprise services across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The firm maintains offices in both Seattle and Bellevue.
