On Friday, President Donald Trump denied claims of his alleged displeasure with U.S. Treasury Secretary Mnuchin, reports The Hill.
A Closer Look at the Report and President Trump’s Response
On Friday, the Wall Street Journal published a report with multiple assertions regarding the president. In the aforementioned report, the publication stated that Trump “faulted” Mnuchin over an appointment of a Federal Reserve chairman.
Shortly after the release of the piece, President Trump issued an impassioned denial of the claims via Twitter.
I am extremely happy and proud of the job being done by @USTreasury Secretary @StevenMnuchin1. The FAKE NEWS likes to write stories to the contrary, quoting phony sources or jealous people, but they aren’t true. They never like to ask me for a quote b/c it would kill their story.

Friday does not mark the media’s first time of issuing reports about the president or his administration which were later debunked as untrue.
False Media Reports and the Trump Administration
Since the inception of his entry into politics, Trump has maintained a tense and often hostile relationship with the mainstream media. Throughout the 2016 election, Trump and his supporters maintained that the press misrepresented him for the sake of tossing the victory odds in Clinton’s favor. Since his time in office, the president’s relationship with the press remains unamicable.
