There have been confirmed reports of Russia firing on unarmed civilians and bombing hospitals and schools.
“The enemy had about 8 generals removed from their posts because they did not complete the task. New ones have been appointed,” Danilov said Friday.
“We clearly understand what is happening in the Russian Federation,” he added. “What’s more, I can tell they’re desperate.”

Russian generals die in Ukraine
In the last week, 3 Russian generals have died. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is continuing to take a heavy toll up-and-down the ranks.
Maj. Gen. Andrei Kolesnikov of the 29th Combined Arms Army was the latest high-ranking Russian death reported by Ukraine’s military Twitter account. It was subsequently confirmed to several media outlets by unnamed Western officials.
Major General Vitaly Gerasimov, chief of staff of the 41st Army, was killed outside Kharkiv.
