Inside the Emergency Motion: DDG’s Allegations Against Halle Bailey

According to filings submitted to the court Wednesday morning, DDG paints a portrait of Bailey as a parent struggling with emotional stability. The rapper cites multiple incidents—some dating back to Bailey’s pregnancy—in support of his claims:

Gun Incident During Pregnancy: DDG alleges that while Bailey was pregnant, she once took his gun and left the house without explanation. He claims he later found her outside, sitting and holding the firearm, which he frames as evidence of emotional instability.

Secret Abortion Attempt: DDG claims Bailey attempted to have an abortion without informing him but ultimately decided against the procedure.

Disturbing Text Messages: Two months after Halo’s birth, DDG alleges Bailey sent a series of text messages threatening to end her own life and expressing fears that their infant son might also be harmed.

Concerns About Leaving Jurisdiction: Central to DDG’s motion is the argument that Bailey, allegedly in a fragile mental state, should not be permitted to take their son out of the country—fearing that distance from U.S. courts could jeopardize both the child’s safety and his own parental rights.

On these grounds, DDG is not only seeking to block Bailey from traveling to Italy with Halo but is also asking the court for sole legal and physical custody. In the alternative, he requests that all custodial exchanges be handled by a third party, citing concerns for both his son’s and Bailey’s wellbeing.
