Sunny Hostin’s Public Position
Just months before these allegations against her husband emerged, Sunny Hostin took to “The View” to criticize Trump’s fitness to run for office due to the ex-president’s plethora of felony indictments. She reasoned that it’s a moral and ethical red line if someone has racked up that many criminal charges.
“Doctors suffer because of big corporations as well, doctors that want to do good like my husband,” Sunny commented on a more recent episode of “The View,” highlighting the struggles physicians face. She portrayed her husband as someone who simply wants to serve patients—even those who lack insurance coverage—and then must “sue health insurance companies to get paid.”
Sunny’s comments may have inadvertently put a spotlight on her husband, raising the question: “If Dr. Hostin’s patients didn’t have insurance, then why was he suing health insurance companies?”
Of course, it’s essential to highlight that at this stage, the accusations remain just that—accusations. Dr. Hostin, through his attorney, has vehemently denied all allegations, labeling the lawsuit a “blanket, scattershot, meritless” effort by an insurance carrier teetering on financial instability. His defense attorney, Daniel Thwaites, also asserts that this lawsuit aims to “intimidate and harass doctors” so that insurance providers can shirk their responsibility to compensate valid claims.
