Mother’s Alleged Complicity: Aiding Hate in Exchange for Babysitting
Perhaps most disturbing was the alleged conduct of the mother herself.
Authorities say Pardo knew about her son’s violent threats and his disturbing drawings — but instead of seeking help, she doubled down.
She allegedly took him to a military surplus store where she purchased:
- A tactical black vest capable of concealing ballistic plates
- A tactical helmet
- Magazines for firearms
- Camouflage jackets and army clothing
All of it, reportedly, in exchange for her son babysitting his younger siblings.
The affidavit further alleges that Pardo expressed no concern for his behavior and supported his violent fantasies. On the day he was detained, the boy reportedly said, “I’m going to be famous” — just before his mother dropped him off at school wearing tactical gear.
