Life of a Showgirl Setting New Standards

According to Daily Mail, “The Life of a Showgirl” sold 3.5 million copies in its first week, surpassing Adele’s 25 (3.378 million copies in 2015). Of Swift’s total, 3.2 million came from traditional sales—physical and digital purchases—and another 300,000 from streaming equivalents.

A record 5 million fans pre-saved the album on Spotify, while a limited vinyl edition sold out within an hour of release. All 12 songs from the album currently hold the top 12 spots on Apple Music, breaking even more records.
