The Indictment Against Young Thug

Young Thug’s legal troubles began on May 9, 2022, when he was indicted on multiple counts, including accusations of leading a gang and involvement in drug and gun activities.

 An additional indictment in August 2022 charged him and 27 others with violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).

This second indictment significantly escalated his legal risks, with charges carrying a potential maximum sentence of 120 years, according to prosecutor Adriane Love.

Blind Plea Deal

Instead of negotiating, Young Thug took a bold step by entering a “blind” plea, admitting guilt without any guarantee of leniency.
