In the early hours of Monday, a Chicago shooting erupted within a home in the Little Village neighborhood, resulting in two deaths and another victim injured, according to local authorities.

 Late Night Chicago Shooting Jolts Little Village Community

Chicago police reported a swift response to the incident, which took place around 12:14 a.m. in a residence on the 2600 block of South Millard Avenue.

The sound of gunfire had shattered the peace of the night, leaving three individuals critically injured in its wake.

Victims of the Chicago Shooting: A Teen and a Woman Lost Their Lives

Caught in this heartbreaking  shooting was a 15-year-old girl, whose life was cut short when she sustained a gunshot wound to her face.

The teen was swiftly transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, she was pronounced dead.

In the same residence, a 48-year-old woman, identified as Karina Gonzalez by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, also fell victim to the shooting.
