The magic of Oz returns with “Wicked: For Good”, the highly anticipated second installment of Universal’s two-part film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical.
Scheduled for release on November 21, the film brings back Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. The pair will reprise their acclaimed roles from the first film.
The newly released official trailer is stirring up excitement.
Directed by Jon M. Chu and featuring a script by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox, the musical is based on L. Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz.
“The lessons of Wicked—of friendship, forgiveness, and choosing your own path—are timeless,” writes a contributor at Yahoo Life.
“This film was such a gift,” said Ariana Grande in an interview. “Bringing Glinda to life meant more to me than I can say.”
Continuing the Spell: What “Wicked: For Good” Is About
