Person of the Year 2023

She is the first woman to grace the cover as Person of the Year twice since the franchise's inception in 1927. She previously earned the honor in 2017 for her role as one of the Silence Breakers, inspiring women to speak out against sexual misconduct.

Swift's musical prowess is unparalleled, boasting more No. 1 albums than any other woman in history, including three chart-toppers in the past year. Her record-breaking Eras world tour, launched in March, captivated audiences across 66 shows in 23 cities throughout North America, Argentina, and Brazil.

The pop culture icon took her groundbreaking year a step further with the re-release of two albums, reclaiming ownership of eight out of her 10 albums. 

In a symbolic move, she embedded her plans for 2023 within the "Bejeweled" music video, taking an elevator that stopped at floors three and five, representing her third and fifth albums, respectively.

In a revealing interview with Time, Swift opened up about her personal and professional life, including her relationship with professional football player Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

 The couple's public outings and mutual support have made headlines, with Swift becoming a fixture at Kelce's football games and Kelce attending Swift's Eras show in Buenos Aires.

"This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell," Swift said with a smile.

"We started hanging out right after that," she added. "So, we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date."
