AI News: Microsoft’s VASA-1 turns photos into talking faces

VASA-1 is a new research project developed by Microsoft. Using the technology you can upload a photo, give a voice sample and create live, animated talking faces. 

You can take selfies and use your own voice on audio to convert into lifelike talking faces. This AI model enhances the video with lip sync, realistic facial features and head movements.

With the addition of a large language model or other foundation AI techniques they are capable of engaging in realistic conversations and having human-like interactions.
