Don’t Trust Chatbots Blindly

Despite their convenience, AI chatbots and assistants are not infallible. They can sometimes provide incorrect or misleading information while presenting it confidently.

The authoritative tone these AI models often adopt can lead users to place undue trust in their responses. While AI can be legitimately helpful and accurate, this trust can be dangerous, especially when it comes to the subtle spread of misinformation.

The potential for AI chatbots to be manipulated is particularly concerning. Unlike traditional search engines, where tampering with every link is nearly impossible, engineering a chatbot to present a skewed version of reality is a different matter.
