The visit also addressed pressing international concerns, particularly the war in Ukraine. Macron, Zelenskyy, and Trump held a 35-minute trilateral meeting to discuss ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.

Macron’s office noted that the talks were arranged at Macron’s suggestion shortly before Trump’s arrival.

Zelenskyy’s top aide, Andriy Yermak, had earlier met with members of Trump’s incoming administration, reflecting Ukraine’s concern and uncertainty about the future U.S. stance.

Trump has promised to end the war in Ukraine swiftly but has not disclosed specifics, raising concerns in Kyiv about potential negotiation terms.
