In a stunning revelation federal prosecutor David C. Weiss informed six witnesses that he lacked the authority to charge First Son Hunter Biden outside of Delaware.

Adding fuel to the ongoing controversy surrounding Hunter Biden, RadarOnline.com reports that Weiss disclosed he was denied special counsel status by the Department of Justice.

In an October 2022 meeting with IRS investigators and FBI agents, Weiss was told to back off of the case.  

The six witnesses mentioned by Weiss, who participated in the October 7 meeting, were identified as Baltimore FBI Special Agent in Charge Tom Sobocinski, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ryeshia Holley, IRS Special Agent in Charge Darrell Waldon, Shapley himself, and Shapley's superior.

These revelations come just one week after President Joe Biden's son agreed to plead guilty to two minor federal tax charges, heightening concerns over potential preferential treatment.

The details of Weiss's alleged claims were unveiled by IRS supervisor Gary Shapley during his testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee in May 2023.

Shapley testified that   "He (Weiss) surprised us by telling us on the charges: 'I'm not the deciding official on whether charges are filed,'" Shapley recounted. "He then shocked us with the earth-shattering news that the Biden-appointed D.C. U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves would not allow him to charge in his district."

Shapley went on to accuse Weiss of being restricted from charging Hunter Biden for alleged crimes committed in 2014 and 2015, including suspected "foreign income from Burisma" and participation in "a scheme to evade his income taxes through a partnership with a convicted felon." 

These exclusions, according to Shapley, concealed significant criminal conduct and suppressed crucial information related to the investigation his team had developed.

During the October 2022 meeting, Shapley claimed that Weiss had sought special counsel authority from the Main DOJ, but was denied. 

“Instead," Shapley revealed, "[Weiss] was told to follow the process, which was known to send U.S. Attorney Weiss through another President Biden-appointed U.S. Attorney." 

This alleged interference raises questions about the independence and impartiality of the investigation, casting doubt on the Department of Justice's commitment to pursuing justice without bias.

Weiss and the other whistleblower's information directly contradict Attorney General Merrick Garland's public statements, including those made to Congress. Garland had asserted that Weiss possessed the authority to "make a decision to prosecute any way in which he wanted to and in any district in which he wanted to" regarding the probe.
