Chilling Details Emerge in Court Documents
Charging documents and surveillance footage describe a cold and calculated attack:
- Rodriguez was seen pacing outside the museum before opening fire on a group of four people.
- He fired 21 rounds from a 9 mm handgun, killing both Lischinsky and Milgrim.
- Milgrim initially survived the first shots. Rodriguez reportedly reloaded and fired at her again while she was sitting up.
- The gun was legally purchased in Illinois in 2020 and flown in Rodriguez’s checked luggage to Washington, D.C.
Rodriguez reportedly told police at the scene, “I did it for Palestine, I did it for Gaza, I am unarmed.”
Motive and Eyewitness Accounts
Authorities say Rodriguez traveled to Washington on May 20 for a work conference. He bought a ticket to the museum event just hours before the attack.
