LOS ANGELES, CA – Lamar Odom—once celebrated as a two-time NBA champion and reality TV fixture—now finds himself at the center of a very public and very final legal defeat. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has ruled in favor of Executive Recovery Group, Inc., the sublessor of a luxury Studio City mansion, after Odom allegedly failed to pay three months of rent totaling $45,000.
Court documents show that Odom entered into an oral month-to-month rental agreement for $15,000 per month back in December 2024. But between January and March 2025, Executive Recovery Group claims Odom paid nothing—prompting multiple notices, including a three-day pay-or-quit order posted at the home and mailed to Odom’s address.
With Odom reportedly ignoring both the warnings and the lawsuit itself, the landlord moved swiftly. The complaint asked the court not only for the overdue rent but also for attorney fees, damages, and immediate repossession of the mansion.
The judge agreed. The resulting judgment didn’t just declare the lease forfeit—by operation of law, it authorizes the Los Angeles County Sheriff to forcibly remove Odom if he fails to leave the property by the deadline set in the court’s order.
