The postings believed to be from Kohberger claim he has the rare neurological condition that affects 2% of the U.S. population.

Classic symptoms include seeing many tiny, flashing dots in a person’s field of vision.

It has been described as looking at static on an analog television. And tiny dots typically appear in black and white, although some people report seeing colored dots.

While signs of visual snow syndrome don’t appear in the eye. Symptoms can be both visual and physical.

The exact cause of the syndrome is still unknown.

Neurological experts believe it is centered in the visual pathway.  And happens when the eye becomes “hyper-excited” to internal and external visual stimuli.
