Saudi Crown Prince not receptive

Blinken embarked on a diplomatic mission to rally support from U.S. allies in the Middle East, urging them to condemn the violence perpetrated by Hamas and attempt to restore calm in their respective countries. However, his efforts were met with a chilly reception in Riyadh.

Blinken had anticipated a meeting with Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the evening of his arrival, but instead, he was left waiting for hours. The Crown Prince finally met with him the following morning, creating a palpable air of tension during the encounter.
