Flights across Russia were grounded on Monday after a sweeping cyberattack struck Aeroflot, the country’s largest airline. The cyberattack, which crippled Aeroflot’s internal systems and led to the cancellation of more than 60 flights, was claimed by a pro-Ukrainian hacker group known as Silent Crow.
They formed a partnership with Belarusian hackers for the massive assault.

The groups cited Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine as the motive behind the digital assault.
Aeroflot’s website was inaccessible as of Monday, displaying a message stating it had been “temporarily restricted.” Inside Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow, footage showed departure screens flooded with canceled flights.

The Belarusian Cyber-Partisans, posting on X, described the breach as the “MOST MASSIVE CYBERATTACK,” claiming to have destroyed over 7,000 servers and workstations within Aeroflot’s offices and affiliated data centers in Melkisarovo.
