Bryan Kohberger, the suspect in the brutal stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students, is now pointing to unidentified male blood found at the crime scene as evidence that could implicate other suspects. However, a seasoned criminal profiler from STALK, Inc. suggests this could be an attempt at staging the crime scene.

Kelly, the founder of the System to Apprehend Lethal Killers (STALK), speculated that the revelation of unidentified male DNA aligns with Kohberger’s possible expectation that law enforcement had pursued other leads.

STALK is a profiling organization dedicated to assisting law enforcement in identifying and capturing serial killers through behavioral analysis and forensic profiling.

Authorities have refrained from commenting further on the statement due to a gag order imposed shortly after his arrest.

STALK Points Out Unusual Behavior at Arrest 

Kelly referenced an early NewsNation report citing an unnamed law enforcement source, which revealed Kohberger's reaction upon arrest. When Pennsylvania SWAT officers apprehended him at his parents’ home in the Pocono Mountains on December 30, 2022, he was reportedly wearing rubber gloves and sorting through garbage.

"When he was arrested, he quickly said, ‘Who else did you arrest?’" said John Kelly, an experienced criminal profiler following the case closely. "Not the normal response for someone being arrested for [allegedly] brutally killing four kids with a knife."

Kelly theorized that this unusual reaction might indicate Kohberger deliberately staged evidence at the crime scene to mislead investigators.

Staging the Crime Scene?

"Maybe this is the reason why he made that stupid response: he staged some other DNA, blood, to throw authorities off," Kelly said. "Remember, from his studies, he would know about staging."

Kohberger was pursuing a Ph.D. in criminology and criminal justice at Washington State University at the time of the murders, giving him academic insight into forensic procedures.

Criminal defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden speculated that Kohberger's question may have been related to concerns about his father. "I think he was thinking about his father being arrested," she said.

Before the SWAT team’s raid, Kohberger and his father had been pulled over twice by Indiana police while driving cross-country from Washington to Pennsylvania.

During these stops, bodycam footage showed them giving inconsistent responses about their travels.

Unidentified DNA Evidence and Defense Strategy

Investigators recovered two unidentified male blood samples—one from a handrail inside the crime scene and another from a glove found outside. Neither sample matched Kohberger. And they originated from two separate individuals.
