Since taking office, Trump signed Second Chance Hiring into law. This particular law seeks to right the wrongs of sentencing regulations that went into effect during Bill Clinton’s presidency. In turn, African-Americans and others have a stronger chance at finding employment after time served in prison.
In many ways, Second Chance Hiring ties in with the First Step Act; the First Step Act is another piece of legislation that focuses on criminal justice reform.
