Critical Condition And A Family In Waiting

Zakrzewska's family flew from Poland to London over the weekend and has maintained a round-the-clock vigil at the hospital. In a brief statement released through a family friend, her mother asked for "prayers from all of Klaudia's friends around the world" and said doctors had described her daughter's condition as "stable but extremely fragile."

Carrington, meanwhile, will be transported to a women's remand facility to await her next hearing. Under British law, attempted murder carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
