Things are coming to a head for President Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign and the attorneys who represent it.

Georgia State Legislators are set to introduce a petition that will call for a special session to review the results of the 2020 election on December 8, The Post Millennial reported.

The petition would need to be signed by three fifths of the members of the House and then presented to the Secretary of State.

State Senator Burt Jones said “we believe we have reached the point that the results of this election are untrustworthy.

“Such pervasive disregard for election laws by our election officials requires a decisive response. It is time for our legislative body to do its job,” he said.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on Sunday warned that a special session of the Legislature that would change the state’s election results “would be then nullifying the will of the people.”

“That’s something that’s beyond my office’s calling,” he said when he appeared on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” “That’s with the governor and the General Assembly, and I’m sure they’ll have conversations.”
