That persistence ultimately paid off, culminating in the green light for Cadillac’s 2026 entry.

Leadership and Vision

Team principal Graeme Lowdon has emphasized the personal significance of carrying Andretti’s name on the car. He described Andretti not only as a racing legend but also as a mentor figure whose competitive mindset continues to inspire the team’s culture.

Lowdon has previously spoken about Andretti’s early encouragement during the team’s formation stages, noting that the racing legend asked him not to let the project fall short of its ambitions.

With the MAC-26 now officially unveiled, that ambition is set to be tested on track.

Driver Lineup and Technical Package

Cadillac has assembled an experienced driver pairing for its debut season. Mexican veteran Sergio Perez and Finnish race winner Valtteri Bottas will pilot the MAC-26 in its first campaign.

Both drivers bring years of Formula 1 experience, including podium finishes and championship-contending seasons with established teams. Their familiarity with race strategy, tire management and technical development is expected to be crucial as Cadillac builds its performance foundation.
