CERN functions to provide the particle accelerators and other infrastructure needed for high-energy physics. And July 3-5 marks the ten-year anniversary of the discovery of the Higgs boson particle.
On July 5, 2022, the LHC was turned back on to start “Run 3”. And the event was live streamed to the world. Collisions at unprecedented energy levels occurred.
As soon as it was announced that the LHC was coming back online some interesting conspiracy theories went viral.
Portal to Hell?
Several theories are formed around the idea that the collider will open up a doorway to another parallel dimension. Or perhaps even a portal to Hell.
Some of the conspiracy theories formed when photos taken above CERN’s Large Hadron Collider went public in 2016. Scientists were trying to change the way the particles smashed together in the “Awake” experiments.
Some observers were certain that the images ‘prove portals are opening.’
It has even been suggested that the strange clouds above the LHC are a reason to question exactly what is taking place inside.
